Upcoming Event: Anime Iwai

Anime Iwai is just moments away on November 9-11, 2018 and Nerds Know will be there! We will be hosting 8 panels throughout the weekend.

Our Schedule is as followed:

Friday:

5:00pm - Cos-Box:

Nerds Know has a box. It is full of stuff: yarn, paper clips, and possibly a Captain America dress. Pick random items from the box and make a complete cosplay for our runway! (Panel Room 3)

9:00pm - WTF JAPAN!?!? (18+):

So, we have another panel that showcases some of the perverted stuff to come out of Japan....video of a girl being thrown in the crotch of a full grow man dressed in BDSM leather, sexually charged commercials, and footage of used panties you can get in vending machines. Well this panel makes ALL of that look like a Care Bears special on the Disney Channel!! We are going to show you everything Japan has to offer in the panel...but don't say we didn't warn you. You're literally going to be shouting WTF Japan! more than once. PS: If you see people storming out, that's a good sign to enter for the good stuff! (Panel Room 2)

11:00pm - Disney Sing-A-long

It’s time to “Let it Go,” “Be Our Guest,” and “Go the Distance” with Nerds Know as we take turns jamming out to the best Disney songs ever! So don’t be shy and pick up the mic and sing along with us! (Panel Room 1)

12:00pm - LGBTQ+ In Japan: The Yuri on Ice Problem:

At a glance, it seems like Japan has made a lot of progress in LGTBQ+ areas. After all, with the popularity of shows like "Yuri on Ice" how can things not be better? The truth is that series like YoI illustrates some of the many LGBTQ+ culture in Japan. We are going to take an extensive look at current affairs in Japan and compare them to what's going on stateside. (Panel Room 2)

4:00pm - Destiny Island's Gameshow

With the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 coming closer and closer, it is time to take a journey with Nerds Know back to where it all began: The Destiny Islands. We are bringing you some of the best Kingdom Hearts trivia we can muster. So bring Jiminy along with you, as we are going to “deep dive” into the history and lore of the Kingdom Hearts franchise for this trivia challenge. (Panel Room 1)

10:30pm - Oh Japan!!! What are you doing now!?!?

Join Nerds Know as we explore the coolest, strangest, and most perverted things to ever hit Japanese Television! Be warned, if you plan on having a beverage with you...it will be coming out of your nose. No Seriously! Put the soda down for the next hour...it burns. (Panel Room 3)

11:00am - The Feels: Anime Edition

Everyone needs a good cry now and again...so Nerds Know is going to make you cry enough for the next year! In this panel, we are going to relive some of the saddest moments in Anime history. Nothing will be off limits! So be sure to have a handkerchief or your friend's should handy, as you will need something to cry into when we are done with you! (Panel Room 1)

12:00pm - Bad Trivia for Bad Prizes:

Want to win some amazing prizes by answering challenging trivia? If the answer to that is yes...choose another castle because the princess isnt here! Join Nerds Know for an hour of the easiest trivia known to man on just about every topic imaginable. Seriously, this trivia is awful and the only thing worse will be the zany prizes!
